Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking an entry level Apprentice Lineman C to safely perform skilled electrical work in the construction, repair, maintenance, storm restoration and operation of underground and overhead electrical distribution systems. The role involves learning apprenticeship-type skills and progressing toward journeyman lineman status.

Expect to adhere to safety practices, climb to work areas, and potentially supervise ground staff or other trainees.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in groundman and lineman work.
• CDL-B license required.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Climb poles or use truck-mounted buckets to access equipment and work at heights.
• Safely construct, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems and substations.
• Identify defective equipment using diagrams and testers.
• Drive to job sites with tools and materials.
• Lay and splice underground cables and distribute lines as directed.
