Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking an Apprentice B Tech to assist in constructing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution systems, both overhead and underground. This semi-skilled role supports journeymen in highly physical outdoor work.

Applicants should have a minimum of three years in groundman/lineman work or completion of lineman training, willingness to travel, and the ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in groundman and lineman work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on short notice.
• Ability to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be physically capable of demanding construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems overhead and underground.
• Access equipment from poles or bucket trucks and work at heights.
• Drive vehicles to job sites and transport tools and materials.
• Splice or join cables and insulators, and lay underground cable in trenches.
• Ensure safety protocols and protect workers and the public.
