Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking an experienced A-Lineman to perform skilled electrical work in the construction, maintenance and operation of distribution systems. The role may supervise others and involves working around energized lines and adverse weather conditions.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of related experience, a valid CDL-B license, owns tools, and can lift 50 lbs. Travel and irregular hours are required for this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of directly related experience.
• Valid CDL-B license.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to work without supervision and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety practices and erect barriers around work areas.
• Open switches or grounding devices to remove hazards for repairs.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment.
• Construct, maintain, and repair distribution systems and substations.
• Inspect and test lines to locate and identify problems.
• Lay underground cables and splice conductors as needed.
