Job summary

Expanse Electrical is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to perform construction and maintenance on overhead and underground distribution and transmission lines under supervision. The role involves climbing structures, installing components, and troubleshooting energized and de-energized systems.

Under guidance of foremen and journeymen, you will work safely in new construction and repairs, with responsibilities including pole setting, transformer installation, and fault clearance.

Qualifications

• Safety-minded and follow safety regulations.
• Must have 2 year minimum of recent field experience or Coursework in Powerline trade.
• Reliable transportation to travel when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair work on overhead and underground distribution and transmission lines under supervision.
• Install components such as poles, transformers, insulators, switches and switchgear; troubleshoot and clear faults.
• Ability to climb structures and use necessary tools to perform tasks.
