Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an Apprentice A Lineman to join our field operations. This entry-level role involves constructing and repairing transmission systems, working on energized lines, and traveling to multiple job sites as needed.

You will climb structures, operate heavy equipment, and work outdoors in varied conditions, with on-call rotations for outages and emergencies. A valid CDL and prior line experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work at multiple job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems with safety as priority.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Understand switching procedures, EPZ grounding and induced voltage on de-energized lines with proper tools.
