Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair transmission systems, working on energized and de-energized lines. This role may require travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, and reports to the Foreman.

The position emphasizes safety and hands-on leadership, with responsibilities including installing overhead lines, climbing structures, and operating bucket trucks and other line equipment.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work at multiple job sites, including out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair transmission systems safely.
• Lead crew members in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and ground workers.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles and hardware.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks and other transmission line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
