Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an Apprentice A Lineman to join its field operations. This entry‑level role focuses on constructing and repairing electrical overhead distribution systems, with travel to various job sites and on‑call rotations as needed.

You will work with energized and de‑energized lines under Foreman supervision and adhere to strict safety standards. The position requires CDL, physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work long hours in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair poles, insulators, conductors and hardware.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather and in energized areas.
• Perform live-line work using gloves and hot-sticks per safety protocols.
• Respond to outages, storms, and emergencies as part of on-call rotation.
