Job summary

Kovachik Aircraft Services is seeking a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 Apprentice to perform maintenance on a small aircraft fleet. The role includes inspections, adherence to CARs and company procedures, and weekend availability, with positions in Parry Sound/Muskoka and Burlington.

The candidate will work a 40-hour week with potential overtime, join a team in a hangar environment, and contribute to safety and quality across all tasks.

Qualifications

  • AME Apprentice with hands-on experience in small aircraft.
  • Experience with general aviation M1 aircraft and systems.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of CARs regulations.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance on our fleet of aircraft in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform aircraft inspections, including airframe structures, engines and components.
  • Ensure operating and maintenance procedures comply with industry and internal regulations and quality standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, etc.
  • Maintaining an organized, clean and safe hangar environment.

Job details

We are looking for a driven, full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 Apprentice who has experience in small aircraft. The AME is responsible for conducting planned and unplanned maintenance on aircrafts and requires M1 knowledge to be successful. Opportunities in Parry Sound/Muskoka and Burlington.

Position Overview

This position is a full-time, permanent position with working schedule of 40 hours per week with potential weekend scheduling. Overtime is available. Opportunities available in Parry Sound/Muskoka and Burlington.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conducting planned and unplanned maintenance procedures on our fleet of aircraft in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and company procedures
  • Perform aircraft inspections, including airframe structures, engines and components
  • Ensure operating and maintenance procedures comply with industry and internal regulations and quality standards
