Accuracy in documentation, reviewing medical records, and empathetically handling patient concerns are critical. The specialist must communicate effectively about scheduling outcomes, triage processes, and timeframes.
Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent with customer service or scheduling experience, or a high school diploma with additional experience. Medical Terminology training may be required.
