Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Forney, TX is hiring an Appointment Scheduling Specialist for the Family Care clinic. You will answer calls, schedule patient appointments, and gather insurance information while delivering professional customer service.

This full-time role works Monday through Friday, 6:45am-3:45pm at 757 E Us Hwy 80 Ste180. Prior healthcare or customer service experience is preferred and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 2 years related experience in healthcare environment (Preferred).
• Previous Customer Service experience (Strongly Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments.
• Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests.
• May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.
• Gathers insurance information and patient personal data.
• Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts.

Education
