Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Statistical Consultant (Research) to lead study design, analysis and communication of results within a cross-disciplinary context on research contracts across the university. The role is based in Australia, Kensington, as part of the Stats Central team.

You will contribute to diverse projects, supervise junior staff and publish findings where appropriate. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Applied Statistics, extensive experience in clinical trials, and strong mentoring skills,

Qualifications

• PhD in Applied Statistics or related discipline.
• Experience with study design and analysis of clinical trials.
• Ability to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team and exercise initiative.
• Ability to explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
• Mentor researchers in statistics.
• Develop statistical methodologies or software in multiple packages.
• Commitment to UNSW's aims, policies and safety.
• Visa sponsorship not available; Australian working rights required.
