UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks a Statistical Consultant to provide statistical consultation for faculty, staff and students under general direction. The role focuses on design of experiments, data analysis, interpretation and reporting.

The candidate will write statistical portions for manuscripts, assist with data organization, and develop in-house programs. Experience in biomedical settings is preferred and knowledge of SAS/SPSS/R is required.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in biostatistics or MPH with biostatistics concentration.
• At least 1 year of statistical consulting experience.
• Experience in biomedical or health care environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAS, SPSS or other major statistical package (S+, R, etc.) and Microsoft Office (ACCESS and EXCEL).

Mansioni

• Collaborates with investigators to identify problems and provide statistical consultation including design of experiments, survey, analysis of data, interpretation of results and preparation of reports.
• Writes statistical portions of manuscripts based on analysis results and handles revisions.
• Assists client data organization.
• Performs statistical computations.
• Provides graphical and tabular representations.
• Develops, maintains and modifies programs for in-house use.
• Collaborates on grant development including statistical design of studies and grant proposals.
• Performs non-statistical consulting tasks by using non-technical language and clarifying research issues.
• Visits client work fields to understand research data.
