Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to build next generation selection/assortment systems within the Specialized Selection team of SCOT. You’ll work with engineers, PMs, and business teams to define problems, design innovative ML/optimization solutions, and productionize models for scalable impact worldwide.

Responsibilities span modeling, prototyping, evaluating metrics, and communicating findings to both technical and business audiences, with opportunities to publish and mentor within the

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master plus 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related fields.
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier conferences/journals.
• Proficient in Java, C++, Python or related languages.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, optimization, data mining.
