Amazon Transportation Services, North America Sort Center Science team is seeking an enthusiastic Applied Scientist to tackle business challenges with data-driven decision making. The role emphasizes autonomous, strategic thinking to improve middle mile operations and customer experience, leveraging machine learning and optimization techniques.

Formación

• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS/CE/ML or related field experience.
• 2+ years of programming in Java, C++, Python or related language experience.
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
• 3+ years of building models for business applications.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop advanced mathematical optimization and machine learning solutions for network design and optimization.
• Prototype, simulate, and experiment with models using Java and Python; contribute to production deployment.
• Create, maintain, and document technical designs and science artifacts.
• Present findings to Scientists, Product, and Software Engineering teams as well as Stakeholders.
• Lead project plans from a scientific perspective including features, risks, milestones and launches.
