Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Applied Scientist for the Specialized Selection team within SCOT to advance next-generation selection/assortment systems. You will work with engineers, product managers, and business teams to define problems and develop innovative, scalable ML/optimization solutions addressing capacity constraints and fast delivery needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s with 4+ years of CS/CE/ML or related field experience.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and map to scientific solutions.
• Design scalable, achievable solutions to key problems.
• Develop metrics to evaluate model efficacy.
• Prototype and analyze new models and logic.
• Productionize scientific solutions with production-quality code.
• Communicate with technical and business audiences throughout projects.
