Job summary

Amazon Science's SCOT team seeks a Research Scientist to advance inbound placement decisions and capacity management for our global fulfillment network. You will design models, run simulations, and evaluate benefits in cost, reliability, and speed, collaborating with scientists, BI engineers, and product managers.

Requirements include a PhD in a quantitative field, experience with Python/Java/C++, and expertise in ML or causal modeling.

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, technology, CS, ML, robotics, OR, statistics, math or equivalent quantitative field.
• Experience in quantitative field research.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.

Responsibilities

• Design models for inbound placement and capacity management.
• Run simulations to evaluate costs, reliability, and speed impacts.
