HDR, Inc. seeks an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to build internal AI capabilities and remove constraints for scaling AI in HDR’s Transportation Business Group. Initially focus is on internal solutions, data foundations, and bottleneck removal, with eventual client-facing advisory work and repeatable services.

The role emphasizes internal capability development, collaboration, and ongoing learning, with a compensation range reflecting US locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering tools and languages (SQL, Power Query, Pandas).
• 3+ years of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).
• 3+ years in data science languages (Python, R).
• Cloud-native data pipelines, scalable compute, production model deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions addressing internal needs.
• Build reusable AI components and data pipelines for future client delivery.
• Manage full model lifecycle: development, deployment, monitoring, retraining.
• Collaborate with IT, data architects, and stakeholders to scale AI capacity.
• Translate problems into structured AI solutions and communicate clearly.
