Job summary

OpenGov is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer within the Applied AI team to redesign revenue workflows using AI-native automation. You will build signal-to-action agents across SDR outbound, AE opportunity management, and CSM renewals, turning GTM data into actionable seller work streams.

The role requires a sharp problem-solver with comfort using modern AI tools, capable of decomposing complex workflows and owning the lifecycle from discovery to adoption.

Qualifications

• Sharp problem-solving mind with comfort using modern AI tools.
• Ability to decompose complex, manual seller workflows into modular components.
• Ability to think from first principles and build trust with RevOps and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI-native signal-to-action layer for Sales, designing, building, and improving agents and automations that convert signal into SDR sequences, AE actions, and CSM renewals.
• Build AE and CSM workflows with deal-risk and next-best-action surfacing for opportunities and renewals.
• Serve as product owner for in-house systems, driving roadmaps and quality bars for revenue systems in partnership with sales leadership and analytics.
• Design human oversight for every agent shipped, with approval gates and escalation paths to keep SDRs/AEs/CSMs in control.
• Create evaluation frameworks for agent behavior, including seed scenarios, scoring rubrics, and regression checks.
