Job summary

The State of North Carolina's Department of Information Technology seeks an Applications Systems Manager I (NS) to lead the IBEAM platform across DEQ. You will guide a 6-person team, supervise 5 developers, and partner with business and technical leaders to align modernization goals with strategic priorities.

You will oversee architecture, cloud adoption, system integration, and governance, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective operations while delivering on-time, on-budget projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field with five years progressive experience, including two years in programming and applications analysis.
Associate degree in Computer Science or IT-related field with six years progressive experience, including two years in programming and applications analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead and collaborate with a 6-person technology team maintaining IBEAM and coordinating with business/technical leaders.
Directly supervise 5 application developers and oversee recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
