Job summary

QED Systems, LLC is seeking a forward-thinking Modernization Architect Engineer to join our team at APG, MD to support the PM IS&A program. The ideal candidate will lead software modernization for Army Intelligence Systems and bridge legacy systems with modern, agile development practices.

You will guide the systems engineering process, establish continuous iterative development, and ensure enterprise architecture scales securely to meet mission needs, while collaborating with PMOs, developers,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Electronic, System, Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of related work experience required.
Master’s degree and eight (8) or more years of related experience may substitute fifteen (15) years of experience.
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Position requires travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Systems & Architecture Design: define baseline and target architectures to support mission requirements.
Process Modernization: transition to continuous iterative development and Agile/DevSecOps models.
Technical Strategy & Sustainment: define long-term software sustainment and modernization roadmaps.
Risk & Security Integration: embed enterprise security controls throughout the lifecycle.
Stakeholder Alignment: translate complex constraints into IT requirements for PMOs, developers, and leadership.
