Job summary

Brown University is seeking an Application Administrator to support computing systems for Dining Services, Residential Life, and other departments. The role includes configuring systems, assisting departmental staff, and helping define roadmaps for supported applications.

Responsibilities include system implementation, integration improvements, reporting, and 24/7 on-call rotation. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of experience in application support are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience with application support or administration.
• Experience with enterprise housing management, meal plan management, and enterprise ticketing systems.
• Broad understanding of mainstream application development tools, database systems, software development methodologies, and integration methods and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the application administrator for operational computing systems, configuring the systems to meet functional requirements.
• Assist staff in departments who also administer computing systems.
• Assist in establishing the roadmap for the computing systems that are run by our customers.
• Participate in the implementation of new systems being implemented for supported departments.
• Assist in partnering with other internal teams to improve application integration and automation with other University Core Systems.
• Assist with reporting needs.
