Job summary

Syntiant Corp. is seeking an experienced Manager, Applications Engineering to lead a global team and drive technical success for MEMS microphones and vibration sensors. The role covers customer support, roadmap input, and robust product demonstrations to accelerate adoption of sensor technologies in edge AI solutions.

The manager will partner with Product Management and R&D to shape the sensor roadmap, develop reference designs, and produce technical content. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–10 years hands-on experience in semiconductor/sensors field.
• 2–3 years supervisory experience with performance management and mentoring.
• Proven track record bringing products to mass production in consumer electronics.
• Excellent technical knowledge in MEMS sensors, audio, and vibration.
• Strong cross-functional communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for customers and sales teams, supporting evaluations, integrations, troubleshooting, and escalations.
• Partner with Product Management and R&D to define sensor product roadmap and capture customer requirements.
• Lead development of product demonstrations, application notes, reference designs, and technical content.
• Own and maintain customer-facing technical documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed Applications Engineering team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to align feedback with strategy.
• Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
