Job summary

Syntiant Corp. is seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer to be a key technical partner to customers, sales, product, and engineering.

This role supports customers from early product evaluation through integration, launch, and production across Syntiant's edge AI, processor, sensor, and software solutions. The ideal candidate has a solid embedded systems background and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a practical, customer-friendly way, helping move programs from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field.
• 8+ years in field applications, applications engineering, systems engineering or related customer-facing roles.
• Experience supporting evaluations, design-ins, launches, and production ramps.
• Strong embedded systems background across processors, microcontrollers, sensors, audio, connectivity.
• Knowledge of embedded software, firmware, drivers, development kits, and OS.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues with customers.
• Ability to explain customer requirements and tradeoffs clearly.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Experience cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering.
• Experience with edge AI, ML deployment, low-power systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical contact for customers, sales, distributors, PM, and engineering.
• Support engagements from product discovery through design‑in, launch, and production.
• Help evaluate, integrate, and deploy Syntiant solutions.
• Lead product demonstrations, workshops, and customer training.
• Recommend solutions based on requirements, performance, power, and constraints.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system‑level issues with customers and internal teams.
• Share customer feedback with engineering, product, and business teams.
• Create technical docs, training materials, and customer resources.
• Partner with sales to support adoption and design wins.
• Drive issues to closure with clear ownership and follow-up.
• Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and Syntiant locations.
