Job summary
Synaptics is seeking a Sr. Staff Field Applications Engineer with Wireless Connectivity expertise to support customers in selecting and integrating Synaptics’ solutions.
You will provide technical guidance, training, and hands-on help to ensure successful deployment, reporting to the Director of Field Applications Engineering. The role emphasizes collaboration with Sales and BU teams, design workshops, and driving customer success across MCU processors, Linux-based platforms, and peripheral
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 12+ years of field application experience
- Experience with Wireless communications systems, both hardware and software
- Experience with automation/scripting tools like Python/Perl/Shell is preferred
- Experience working directly with tier1 and OEM customers
- Experience with Touch and Display controllers is a plus
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and Business Units to promote Compute and Connectivity solutions
- Provide technical training sessions with emphasis on MCU Processor components
- Conduct design workshops to port applications to Synaptics processors
- Assist customers with porting and integrating drivers into platforms
- Manage technical issues with BU and drive to resolution
- Troubleshoot onsite at customer sites
- Develop deep product expertise and stay updated on processor and Wireless features
- Establish strong relationships with key customers
