Software Placement Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Applications Specialist in Richfield, WI. This full-time, on-site role blends technical sales consulting with mechanical design, serving as the bridge between clients, field sales, and manufacturing.

The candidate will manage 20–25 daily client interactions, configure custom thermal/fluid equipment, and generate quotes and ROI models using CPQ software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or closely related four-year field.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience with 2+ years in inside sales, proposal writing, or applications engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage 20–25 daily client touchpoints in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating technical concepts into financial and operational benefits.
• Progressive professional record showing career commitment and long tenure with past employers.

Responsibilities

• Manage 20–25 daily technical client interactions via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Apply thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural engineering to configure custom packages.
• Use CPQ tools to generate quotes, proposals, and ROI models.
• Analyze blueprints and specs to deliver value-engineered design modifications.
• Collaborate with production to align quotes with lead times and fabrication limits.
• Present technical specs and compliance data to plant managers and engineers.
