Job summary

TANN Corporation, a world leader in air pollution control equipment, seeks an experienced Applications Engineer for our Kaukauna, WI office. Role involves travel 20-30% and close collaboration with customers to design, cost, and implement solutions.

Responsibilities include drafting scopes, evaluating technologies, developing proposals, and ensuring project costs align with budget while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field experience.
• Ability to perform essential physical duties with high attention to detail.
• Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Able to read, understand, and work from blueprints, layouts, bills of materials, PLC programs, P&IDs, and related documents.
• Maintain safety practices and high risk awareness at worksite.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with customers to identify needs and opportunities.
• Review potential solutions and select proper technology to fit needs and budget.
• Develop costing for technical solutions including sizing, components, fabrication cost, and installation requirements.
• Prepare scope of work documents and drawings outlining project requirements.
• Create high-quality proposal documents for approval.
• Track actual vs. planned project costs and stay within budget.
• Provide excellent customer service at sites and at corporate office.
• Create and present information about TANN products and services.
• Complete FID testing at customer locations to verify equipment function.
• Perform in-house testing of customer samples to select solutions.
