Job summary

SPX Technologies seeks an Application Engineer to join the Strobic sales team and support customer applications with technical specifications and product positioning. You will collaborate with regional sales managers, manufacturers’ representatives, and internal teams to identify requirements and deliver effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an application engineering role.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and effectively implement changes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-function teams at all levels (production to management).
• Familiarity with application engineering principles and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office and selection tools.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to develop summary graphs, tables, pivot tables, and other reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.
• Articulate technology and product positioning of both business and technical users.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFQs.
• Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
• Perform technical and product training for sales personnel, sales representatives and customers.
• Assist product development in developing new and/or enhanced products by communicating trends, needs, and issues in the marketplace.
• Evaluate needs of the customer and provide technical solutions that best fit the company’s product portfolio.
