Job summary

SPX Cooling Technologies, a leader in HVAC cooling solutions, seeks an Application Engineer II to bridge customers with internal teams. You will serve as a technical advisor, delivering product applications expertise and training to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate with sales, project management, manufacturing and product engineering to optimize solutions, analyze requirements, and prepare submittals for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Fundamental knowledge in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of cooling towers, fluid coolers, dry coolers and adiabatic coolers is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales representatives, direct account managers, contractors, engineers, end-users and internal departments.
• Advise and assist field sales personnel and their clients on product technical details to obtain solutions of specific application problems.
• Deliver technical training support and presentations to internal teams and external customers.
• Collaborate with sales staff to evaluate project requirements and recommend competitive solutions.
• Prepare accurate, complete submittal documents for timely client delivery.
• Represent SPX at Trade Shows.
