SPX Technologies is seeking an Applications Engineer for the Engineered Air Movement group in Mason, Ohio. You will serve as a primary technical resource for the sales team, helping identify customer requirements and determine how our fans and related products fit their applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an application engineering role.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with application engineering principles and coordinating multiple projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and selection tools.
• Ability to develop summary graphs, tables, pivot tables, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.
• Articulate technology and product positioning for business and technical users.
• Respond to functional and technical RFIs/RFQs.
• Convey customer requirements clearly.
• Provide technical training for sales personnel and customers.
• Assist product development with market trends and needs.
• Develop design and specification support for sales and customers.
• Develop application notes describing product usage.
• Participate in designing new engineering processes and systems.
