Job summary

The Application Engineer role at Aebi Schmidt Group in Bristol, IN serves as the technical interface between business units and engineering, driving new product opportunities, supporting field issues, and coordinating engineering resources. It requires strong CAD skills, ERP usage, and travel to customer sites and OEMs to support launches.

Responsibilities include advising customers, benchmarking, delivering technical presentations, and maintaining records while aligning with company objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering or technical field.
• Experience in design and development of on-highway/heavy truck/automotive vehicles preferred.
• Possess a Class B CDL or willing to obtain.
• Proficient with SolidWorks 3-D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external customers to provide technical and business solutions.
• Act as key technical advisor and product advocate for the business unit.
• Translate customer requirements into functional/technical elements for new product development or optimization.
• Support competitive benchmarking for strategic planning.
• Prepare and deliver formal technical presentations to sales and customers.
• Travel regularly to key end-user customers and OEMs for launches and training.
• Maintain records for customers, quotes, and project requests.
• Assist in design/development process to meet customer requirements and objectives.
