Swenson Spreader, LLC, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Lindenwood, IL, just 15 minutes south of Rockford, IL, is seeking a Product Engineer. You will design and develop products using 3D CAD, manage engineering projects, and support production from concept through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop products using 3D CAD software.
• Manage multiple engineering projects from design through completion.
• Develop project schedules and ensure projects stay on track.
• Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.
• Troubleshoot design and production issues and provide engineering support to manufacturing, Sales, and Service.
• Work with customers, dealers, vendors, and internal teams on product improvements and technical issues.
• Support continuous improvement focused on quality, manufacturability, cost savings, and product performance.
• Develop and maintain product documentation, including drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manuals.
• Measure and inspect machines and parts to meet design specifications.
• Stay current on product lines, industry developments, and new product opportunities.
• Prepare project updates and reports and manage projects within budgets.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing products, managing engineering projects, and supporting production from concept through completion. You'll work closely with Engineering, Production, Sales, Service, customers, and vendors to solve problems, improve products, and help bring new ideas to life.

• Develop project schedules and ensure projects stay on track.


• Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.


• Troubleshoot design and production issues and provide engineering support to manufacturing, Sales, and Service.


• Work with customers, dealers, vendors, and internal teams on product improvements and technical issues.


• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, manufacturability, cost savings, and product performance.
