Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Bristol, IN to support production operations and manufacturing engineers. You will interface with team members, contribute to continuous improvement, and apply strong electrical knowledge to automotive 12-volt systems.

A proactive, data-driven mindset is essential for success. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, HS diploma or GED, and familiarity with CAD tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• 2–3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Ability to understand customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with SolidWorks/AutoCad and Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide fabrication or rework based on technical specs.
• Review design info, BOMs, and process sheets; guide engineering and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Create/modify fabrication process sheets and drawings.
• Manage CAD models, flat patterns, and nests for components.
• Assist engineering with data collection like time studies.
• Modify plant layouts for new lines or changes.
• Write clear, effective work instructions.
• Apply electrical knowledge of 12-volt automotive systems.
• Install electrical components accurately.
• Demonstrate understanding of quality standards for electrical systems.
• Use fixture tools effectively in manufacturing.
• Exhibit on-the-spot problem-solving and initiative.
• Develop standardized work instructions and grow skills.
• Understand and apply lean manufacturing principles.
