Job summary

The Shyft Group USA, Inc is seeking an Applications Engineer in Bristol, IN to act as the technical interface between business units and engineering. You will generate new business opportunities, support field issues, and coordinate engineering resources for ongoing activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in a technical field, and robust CAD/ERP skills. Travel to key customers and OEMs is expected to launch new products and provide training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
Minimum 5 years’ engineering/technical field experience.
Experience in design and development of on-highway/heavy truck/automotive vehicles preferred.
Possess a Class B CDL, or be willing to obtain.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
SolidWorks 3-D CAD experience with ability to review/modify assemblies/drawings.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and data extraction for analysis.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain strong relationships with external customers to provide technical and business solutions.
Act as the key technical advisor and product advocate for the business unit.
Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for new product development or optimization.
Support competitive benchmarking to guide strategic planning.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to sales, customers, and stakeholders.
Resolve customer issues in a timely manner in line with company objectives.
Assist in attending industry events to support sales and training.
