Job summary

Enerflex Ltd is seeking an Applications Engineer to support refrigeration and downstream projects, including process simulation, equipment sizing, and cost estimating. You will prepare technical and commercial proposals and contribute to Process Flow and P&ID drawings while maintaining industry-standard compliance.

The role involves interfacing with sales and engineering teams, and may require domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree with 3-5 years of experience in rotating machinery and gas compression equipment.
• 3-5 years’ experience with gas engines and electric motor drivers, process simulators, refrigeration and gas processing equipment.
• Strong customer-focused approach and ability to maintain vendor relationships.
• Track record of resolving technical problems and willingness to learn.
• Organized with attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate design and performance of proposed equipment to meet specifications and timelines.
• Prepare system process simulations, sizing, cost estimates, and technical/commercial proposals.
• Develop proposal Process Flow, P&ID drawings, and General Arrangement drawings.
• Maintain knowledge of industry codes and standards for global markets.
• Interface with internal departments and clients; travel may be required.
