Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Applications Engineer to assist the Sales Team by sizing, selecting, and quoting compression equipment and to act as a liaison between Sales, Manufacturing and other teams.

This full-time Exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3–6 years in oil and gas, with familiarity in ASME/API/ISO/EPA standards and strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 3 - 6 years of relevant work experience, ideally in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, EPA, etc.).
• Strong computer skills with MS Office; experience with Salesforce and SAP preferred.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pursuing engineered package sales and provide engineering support.
• Size gas compression equipment using OEM software and quote recommendations.
• Serve as a liaison between Sales and Manufacturing and other teams.
• Maintain customer relationships and develop cost estimates and records.
• Conduct sales, shop, field, yard and site visits as needed.
