Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking an Applications Engineer for the Refrigeration and Downstream Products Department in Houston. The role focuses on conceptual engineering, estimating system costs, and preparing proposals for gas processing and refrigeration projects in oil, gas, and petrochemical markets.

The successful candidate will develop process simulations, sizing, and drawings, while maintaining industry standards and customer relations. Some international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree with 3–5 years’ experience in rotating machinery.
• Experience with gas engines, electric motor drivers, and refrigeration/gas processing equipment.
• Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate design and performance of proposed equipment, ensuring deliverability and reliability of suppliers to meet customer specifications and timetable.
• Prepare system process simulations, equipment sizing, cost estimates and technical/proposal submissions.
• Develop proposal Process Flow and P&ID drawings and general arrangement proposals.
• Stay updated on industry codes and standards applicable to the products in global markets.
• Interface with all operational departments and maintain client relationships; attend clarifications as needed.
• Position may require domestic and international travel.
