Job summary

Mapt is seeking an Applications Engineer to translate customer power and battery requirements into practical, tested solutions. You will bridge customers and engineering, guiding feasibility, system architecture, and verification from discovery through trials.

You will lead technical discussions, specify interfaces, and support prototype integration with cross-functional teams to ensure the final solution meets performance targets in real-world applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
Experience in applications engineering or systems integration.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery with customer engineering teams to understand platform requirements.
Define voltage, current, power, energy, runtime, and charging needs.
Capture mechanical interfaces and environmental conditions.
Turn incomplete requests into documented requirements and acceptance criteria.
Evaluate battery and power-system configurations with the engineering team.
Prepare specifications, diagrams, and inputs for proposals and SOWs.
Integrate prototype battery systems with customer equipment.
Provide technical support during evaluations, integration and field trials.
