Mapt is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, test, install, and deploy advanced marine battery systems. The role blends hands-on engineering with customer‑facing field service and requires collaboration with the engineering team to validate energy storage products and support customer vessels and integrations.

Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience reading electrical schematics, and familiarity with battery management systems and related components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands‑on electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with electrical test equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition tools.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of marine battery systems and electrical architectures.
• Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, harness specs, and system documentation.
• Assist with BMS integration, protection devices, sensors, chargers, and related components.
• Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting at cell, module, pack, and system levels.
• Document field issues, test results, corrective actions, and lessons learned with the engineering team.
• Provide field service or technical support for customer vessels and partner integrations.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, startup, and verification at customer sites.
