Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Product Application Engineer for Battery Management Systems (BMS) to lead development, validation, and customer support across electrified mobility applications. The role requires translating customer and safety requirements into system architectures, specifications, and production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automotive/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, battery systems, or related applications.
• 3+ years in BMS development and lithium-ion battery experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects.
• Exposure to commercial vehicles, rail, or EV applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead BMS development across mobility and industrial applications.
• Define system architecture, interfaces, diagnostics, and control strategies.
• Translate requirements into hardware, software, safety, and validation specs.
• Develop test plans and engineering documentation.
• Support high-voltage systems, thermal management, cell balancing, and safety strategies.
• Coordinate with hardware, software, validation, and manufacturing teams.
