Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a hands-on Manager of Application Development (Data Engineering) to lead a small team and own the architecture of data platforms, APIs, and integrations critical to clinical, operational, and analytics workflows.

You will drive design, development, and governance across cloud-based applications while mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver measurable business value at scale in a HIPAA-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and mentoring of a 3–5 person team in application and data engineering.
• Own technical direction and architecture for application platforms and integrations.
• Drive design reviews, architecture decisions, and solution delivery.
• Ensure security, HIPAA compliance, and data governance.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers delivering applications and data integrations.
• Define team objectives, manage resources, and track delivery metrics.
• Contribute hands-on to development as needed while guiding architecture decisions.
• Oversee API design, data exchange, and modular service boundaries.
• Collaborate with product, IT, and business teams to align with strategic goals.
