Job summary

Inn-Flow in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Application Support Engineer with strong SQL Server experience to provide Level 3 support for business-critical applications. This backend-focused role involves advanced SQL troubleshooting, performance tuning, and working with .NET and React to resolve production issues.

You will analyze and optimize SQL objects, perform data validation, monitor performance, and document root causes and fixes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application or production support, including Level 3 responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advanced SQL troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience reviewing execution plans and optimizing existing database objects.
• Exposure to .NET and React applications, with ability to read code and trace logs.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, data flows, and integrations.
• Proven ability to independently resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Level 3 application support for enterprise systems.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex production issues.
• Analyze and optimize existing SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes.
• Perform controlled data validation and corrections in SQL Server.
• Diagnose issues across the full application stack — SQL Server, .NET, and React.
• Monitor application and database performance and drive root cause analysis.
• Partner with development teams on defect resolution and long-term fixes.
• Occasionally engage with customers to clarify issues and communicate resolutions.
• Document root causes, permanent fixes, and support procedures.
