Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening in Spartanburg, SC for an Application Support Engineer on a 12+ months contract with hybrid work.

The role focuses on monitoring production apps, incident resolution, and working cross-functionally with development, infrastructure, and database teams. The candidate will handle root cause analysis, deployments, and documentation, with required experience in Linux/Unix, shell scripting, networking, and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Application/Production Support.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn).
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL preferred.
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment when required.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• ITIL knowledge and familiarity with ServiceNow, Splunk, or monitoring tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
