Job summary

KPM Analytics is a global leader in scientific instrumentation and analytics solutions with a Westborough, MA lab. We seek an Application Specialist – Lab Team to provide hands-on technical support to our North American sales organization, run sample analyses, demonstrate instrument capabilities, and aid method development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in applications support for scientific instrumentation or food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide application and technical support to the North American sales team.
• Assist with technical objection handling and competitive product positioning.
• Conduct laboratory sample analysis and generate detailed application reports with findings and recommendations.
• Support method verification, validation, and transfer processes.
• Maintain and manage demo lab equipment at Westborough, MA headquarters.
• Deliver remote and on-site application support across AMS, Chopin, and Unity Scientific product lines.
• Travel to customer sites for demonstrations, training, and project support.
• Collaborate with service teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues.
• Capture and maintain application activities and customer interactions in Salesforce CRM.
• Gather customer feedback and application insights to inform product development.
• Develop and maintain instrument calibrations as needed.
• Help train new employees and internal stakeholders.
