Job summary

F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to serve as the primary scientific and technical representative in the Northeast, mainly supporting New Jersey and Philadelphia area laboratories.

You will deliver on-site support, including instrument and assay troubleshooting, training, and successful product implementations. This field-based role requires strong lab knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to travel frequently to customer sites, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment (including internships, college, certification time, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and value.
• Consult with customers on lab needs and support product lifecycle including upgrades.
• Perform installation and validation of complex diagnostic instruments, software, and reagent applications in customer laboratories.
• Deliver and/or develop on-site training for laboratory personnel on Roche systems, theory of operation, workflow, QC, and data interpretation.
• Provide on-site technical issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Travel 50% or more within designated territory; act as primary field-based resource.
