Job summary

Amphenol Basics is seeking an Application Development Manager to drive new opportunities and strengthen customer relationships across North America. You will interface with engineering, product marketing, and sales to design interconnect solutions and lead design reviews.

The role requires deep PCB design knowledge, hands-on prototyping, and strong communication skills. You will work with Altium, Cadence/OrCAD, PADS, KiCad and internal systems like Windchill and Creo to deliver innovative

Responsibilities

• Support Amphenol's growth across Automotive, Robotics, Energy Storage, AI infrastructure with reliable hardware designs
• Collaborate with customers to develop solutions meeting technical requirements
• Demonstrate deep PCB design expertise including schematic capture and layout
• Utilize PCB tools (Altium, Cadence/OrCAD, PADS, KiCad) for design work
• Apply electrical fundamentals: power distribution, voltage/current, grounding, protection
• Assess needs and propose product modifications or new concepts
• Drive new product development through first-principles innovation
• Create technical presentations and lead design reviews with customers
• Coordinate with internal teams and housekeeping in Windchill/Creo
• Prototype, test, debug hardware and support lab testing
• Develop Voice of Customer activities and protect deliverables on time
• Travel as required
