Job summary

FCI Basics, an Amphenol business, is seeking a driven Application Development Engineer to develop new opportunities and grow strategic customer relationships across North America.

You will interface with customers, internal product development and sales teams, performing as an extension of Basics BU engineering, delivering reliable interconnect designs, leading design reviews, and accelerating new products in the roadmap. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Experience interfacing with customers and internal teams to deliver interconnect solutions.
• Deep PCB design expertise: schematic capture, layout, component selection.
• Ability to present concepts and lead design reviews with customers.
• Proficiency with PCB tools (Altium, Cadence/OrCAD, PADS, KiCad) and internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Support growth in Automotive, Robotics, Energy Storage & AI infrastructure through reliable interconnect designs.
• Work with customers to develop solutions that address their needs and satisfy technical requirements.
• Lead internal design reviews and product development meetings with customers.
• Create technical presentations and maintain engineering documentation.
