Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a PCB Designer in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on designing and detailing printed circuit boards using CAD tools, with collaboration across engineering disciplines to ensure manufacturability and document control.

The candidate will create and revise drawings, apply manufacturing constraints, and support as-needed changes to Customer Application notes and internal standards, while maintaining organized

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD/ drafting tools to design PCB layouts.
• Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly).
• Apply tolerancing, PCB manufacturing constraints, and DFx checks.
• Address manufacturing deviations with engineering teams.
• Update customer application notes and engineering standards.
• Maintain organized file systems for production drawings.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering on designs.

Position: Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Responsibilities

• Use computer assisted design/drafting for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)
• Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings)
• Utilize knowledge of dimensional tolerancing, PCB manufacturing capabilities, and design for manufacturing checks
• Resolve technical responses from PCB manufacturing deviations
• Update Customer Application notes and Engineering Standards
• Sets up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings
• Communicate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering regarding new and revised designs

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Additional skills include technical capacity, communication proficiency, problem solving/analysis and the ability to collaborate as a member of a team
• Experience with Cadence Allegro or Altium required
