FORMULATRIX is seeking an Applications Sales Specialist to champion the Ultrafiltration/TFF portfolio across the Western US and Canada. This hands-on, consultative role blends cutting-edge life science tools with sales strategy, driving opportunities from lead to close with collaboration from Inside Sales.

A scientist with sales aptitude or a sales professional with technical background will thrive. You will travel to meet customers, deliver demos, and support onboarding while ensuring customer

Qualifications

• Educational background in life sciences with strong biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology knowledge.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the listed separation/purification areas or related techniques.
• Prior sales experience is a plus but not required if the candidate has strong technical drive and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the Western US and Canada; valid driver's license required.

• Own the sales process from initial contact through negotiation, pricing, purchasing follow-up, and closing.

We are seeking a hands‑on, organized, and detail-oriented Applications Sales Specialist to champion our Ultrafiltration/TFF (Pulse) portfolio across the Western US and Canada. In this fast-paced role, you will bridge the gap between cutting‑edge science and sales. You will manage the full sales process, collaborating closely with our Inside Sales team to turn leads into successful partnerships. This is a highly consultative role perfect for a scientist looking to transition into business, or an experienced sales professional with a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Sales Process: Manage opportunities from initial contact through negotiation, pricing, purchasing follow-up, and closing.
• Showcase the Tech: Deliver compelling customer demos and provide hands‑on support during product evaluations.
• Support the Customer Journey: Provide expert applications support, implement customer training, and ensure seamless onboarding.
• Travel & Network: Travel across the territory to meet with customers, perform equipment demonstrations, and represent FORMULATRIX® at industry trade shows.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: BSc (or equivalent) in a life sciences field, featuring solid knowledge of general biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology.
• Technical Expertise: Hands‑on experience in at least one of the following areas: Preparative macromolecular separation techniques, microfiltration/ultrafiltration (Tangential Flow Filtration / TFF experience is highly preferred), purification and characterization of proteins, nucleic acids, viral vectors, or lipid nanoparticles on a "multi-milligram scale."
• Commercial Acumen: Prior sales experience is a definite advantage, but not essential if you have the right technical drive and communication skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are an absolute must.
• Mobility: Ability to travel as needed throughout the Western US and Canada. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
