Job summary

Heitek Automation, a SunSource company, is seeking an Application Engineer to act as a technical expert within the customer-facing engineering team. You will provide pre- and post-sales support, perform product demonstrations, training, troubleshooting, and application support to bridge technical knowledge with customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-5+ years of experience in an engineering, technical support, field service or application role.
• Industry-specific experience (e.g., systems integration, application engineering, controls engineering) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field sales calls to demonstrate products and develop customer solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to define requirements and recommend solutions.
• Gather technical information for discovery and solution development.
• Size and specify components for sales opportunities.
• Develop scope of work for projects based on discovery data.
• Provide new product training and training on existing product lines.
• Troubleshoot and support customers via email, phone, and onsite.
