Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer to support electrical consultants and in-house engineering staff across multiple Texas markets including Austin, Grapevine, Houston, and San Antonio. The role emphasizes technical and commercial skills in critical power infrastructure, distribution, and power quality.

The position involves mentoring sales engineers, leading technical design efforts, and collaborating with consultants to position Eaton products in bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years of electrical sales/marketing and/or engineering experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• Sponsorship/relocation not offered; within 50 miles of Austin, Grapevine, Houston, or San Antonio.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineers at consulting firms and design teams.
• Serve as primary technical contact for in-house engineering staff and account teams.
• Act as technical expert for Gulf Region Mission Critical team.
• Assist large bids with submittals, drawings, and technical interpretation.
• Provide design recommendations and product leadership to clients.
